How does Sponsler calibrate the Precision Turbine Flowmeter?

Sponsler precision turbine flowmeters are placed in a flow line and subjected to a gravimetric calibration or ballistic prover process, depending on the size of the meter. A 10-point calibration is performed over its range at 10 different points to ensure and document linearity and repeatability. The 10-point calibration is standard for most Sponsler meters. A calibration sheet is furnished with each meter, showing actual performance of the meter under calibration lab conditions. Additional calibration points can be performed upon request at stated rates.
